Honestly what a wonderful stay we had. Margaret was so kind and helpful - and her welcome high tea was astounding. Thank you so much. We were happy and comfortable. An old-fashioned B&B with impeccable style and attention to detail. A hot shower in our en-suite and good wifi- an unbeatable combination

The most wonderful stay! |If you’re coming to/ through Shap you NEED to stay here! |Lovely Margaret provided everything two hungry and tired coast to coast walkers might need. From greeting us with freshly made scones and almond tarts to the comfiest of beds to a breakfast of champions. Thank you 🙌🏻

What a great place to say. We arrived wet and tired after a long day of hiking and were welcomed with open arms. Great breakfast and wonderful packed lunch. Thank you!

Old world hospitality from first to last. It was like being at Nanas place being pampered by Margaret. From the scones and Lemmon curd cake with tea on arrival to a great breakfast on lovely China and fab prepared lunch for C2C travellers. Margaret takes great pride in her place and has history with C2C writers and lots of knowledge.

3rd stay for me, 1st for my son. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else.||Lovely rooms, great breakfast, and Margaret runs a tight ship and is a joy to be with!! 😀||Walking distance to the Greyhound which is now run by a lovely Scouser who serves good cask beer and a great supper!
