Beautiful breakfast, amazing quality ingredients. Staff were fabulous and so attentive. They even brought over activities for my toddler. We took a few slices of cake for the road and they were delicious too. Will definitely be back on our next trip out. Thank you

Thanks! You and your team really care about your customers .
We will be back, and soon.
A much better stop off on the way to Scotland. Much less fraught. Lovely spotless Loo’s too!
Just off motorway and the A6
Glad we found you ! You are way better than motor way services
Vegetarian options: Lovely vegetarian quiche , vegetable soup really good, and vegan options too. We will use take away on our next journey up ! Yummy cakes we did not have room for!

Amazing staff and perfect portion size and great quality for a cheaper price than most places. Lovely little hidden gem. Lovely little touch with asking if I needed more hot water with my pot of tea, and for offering a replacement for items I wanted to remove on my breakfast. Bacon was the best I've had in a long time and the extra offering of cooking the eggs to your own liking is great. Eggs were poached perfectly too. Gave a tip and would highly recommend.

Serves an excellent vegetarian breakfast (until 11.30am), great lunch options, and plenty of cakes to choose from as well.
A great little gift shop that sells walking socks and compeed for walkers, as well as gels and energy bars for cyclists.

Absolutely amazing! We sat outside, the ladies who served were perfect. Friendly service and came out with dog treats for our dog. Food was excellent. Has a fruit yogurt parfait and beans on toast. Best I've ever had. My wife loved her veg breakfast, was a spontaneous decision and we recommend highly.to anyone. We'll be back again. Thank you.

Loved this cafe! Such amazing food and great service from the staff. Very friendly cafe that caters to all dietary requirements which was nice. Some personal favourites were the quiche of the day, the potato salad, and the kiwi cake. Local products and artwork are also sold in the cafe which is nice to see that local artists and food producers are being supported. There are also free dog treats which is a nice touch. Really affordable and delicious food - would highly recommend to anyone passing through.

Loved this little cafe and gift shop. We were welcomed even though closing time was imminent, as was our little sausage dog Beatrice, who wolfed down all her doggy treats! So good to be served loose leaf tea too, a rare treat and homemade cakes were delicious, especially the battenburg.
Enjoyed seeing local art for sale, the delightful herdwick sheep mugs and key rings as well many other gifts.
This mum and daughter team deserve to do well with this new venture and we wish them all the success they deserve.
Wish you were local!
